Neuenergy vs. Hyperion balance tap

I guess it is really a personal choice, but i have a batt with a neuenergy tap and one with a hyperion tap and plan to get a few zippies which are yet another type of tap. I hate changing my adapters back and forth on my charger (hyperion charger). So i was thinking about choosing one tap to be put on ALL of my packs, so is there any real difference performance or charge wise on different taps or are they only different to piss off people? Which one should i choose?

I like hyperion, but the align style (what the zippies have) are just as good. I do not like the kokam taps on the neu lipos, or the tp/fp taps. I would go with align or hyperion.

They are all basically the same as far as quality goes. I personally choose to stick with Hyperion. I would rather solder on a couple tabs than be switching out boards all the time.

Whats wrong with the tp style? I like them better than the hyperion ones. More compact, easier to check individual cells with a multi meter, and to me they don't make the pack look cheap like a lot of other ones do.

They are more difficult to acquire, and I am not too fond of the fact that they do not have a 6s tap, you must use a combination of 5s and 3s taps...

I also like that hyperion use the same tap for 2-4s making it easier to reuse what you have when rewiring a pack.

Never though a tap could make a pack look cheap...

I guess it is all in what you like...

I think it's something to do with the big white plugs that just brings back memories of tamyia plugs for me.

I have align/JST taps on all my batts. and they are holding up quite well

I think i will use hyperions because so many packs come standard with hyperion taps.
