LOSI or ASSOCITED 2wd buggy
As the tite says which do you guys like best and why , i'm considering getting one ?.

Although both are tops in competitive racing, I would choose the Associated for just one reason: the diff holds up better to power. I've had enough experience with Losi diffs and race with enough Losi drivers to know that the Losi diff just doesn't hold up as well.
All that really means, however, is that you need to re-build the Losi diff more often. If you like doing maintenance, then either is a great buggy. If either has better support at your local shop/track, that should also be a consideration. |
What about a rustler? I know it is not in your list. But you could run the motor for sale on it. It be a nice ride. I not sure what you planning either hippie. What are the plans of this new toy?

i would probably go with the losi because i have seen them run. also they are fast and handle well but then again i have never seen an asscociated run at its full potential

The Rustler is classified as a Stadium Truck and not a 2WD buggy ( which is a bit smaller than a ST, and I also recommend the Associated B4. It has been winning races like crazy eversince it came out. The diffs of the B4 is almost bullet proof. I used a 480 brushless motor in it with 10 cells and it was flying, truly. The diffs did not suffer at all.

CAPTIN i have heard that about the associated diff. Has anybody had both if so which do you find to be more durable ?.

Most people prefer the Associated diffs and tranny for its durability. My pal at the track has been using his B4 for a whole year with no segnificant maintenance. You are supposed to follow the flow most of the time, Hippies. The B4 is the ultimate choice for 2wd buggy racing IMO.

I am a hardcore losi guy, having owned a lot of their viechles. Yet, if I were ever to enter 2wd buggy, I would definitely buy the Factory Team B4. The thing just hauls, and between that and the xxxbk2, it just looks like a simple setup.

i would go with the xxxbk2 or even a bk1 upgraded to a bk2. losi is probably the best of the best when i comes to buggys IMHO.

I was really considering the durabilty more than anything, sinice the performance is to close to call.

If you're running brushless go associated, since the differential is better. Otherwise I would say whatever you can get the best deal on, since the durability elsewhere is about equal. Although an aluminum rear pivot block is a must for the old losi xxx and the new xxx series.

I have a t3 and t4 and never did a diff both are still good and smooth. run anywhere from a ten turn to stock

It doesn't matter if you're going for durability, speed, or handling. The B4 owns in all 3 catagories. My B4 has not broken any parts. Keep in mind that I race it just as hard as I bash my T3's. I've got several vids of stuff I've done with it and I have pictures of Losi's if you do the same stuff with them and what happens (they die).
