Thank You Tekin!!!

Excellent job on the RX8 system! You provided the basic things the other ESC do not.
The biggest improvement is the sensored motor! I was looking for a strong case motor with solder tabs and Tekin delivered. I was surprised how much smother the sensored motor is. Tekin also offers so many different kv motors. Having easy access to change the fan is a big plus. I was also pleased with how easy it is to program without a computer. I will no longer have to take my computer with me to the track. The solder tab on the ESC took a little work, but I know they are better connected then my old ESC plugs. You need a good solder iron for this.

This ESC was built for the serious racer. It was exactly what I have been waiting for. The RX8 truly starts and stops as smooth as the 1/10 scale controllers. The nitro drivers are going to cry like a baby!
Only time will tell how durable it is. This is the last hurdle the RX8 has to cross. So far I’m really impressed.

Thank You Tekin!!!:yipi:

I was wondering how you would like your Tekin system Earl! I'll call you when I get my phone back.

Hey Guys,

One thing I want to stress to everyone after reviewing install photos is to remember that these are 1/8 cars that take a ton of abuse. To take that abuse things are allowed to FLEX and MOVE. Please please make sure that your wires area also allowed to FLEX and MOVE a bit. I'm the first one to applaud a clean wiring installation but make sure there's some extra length in the wires to allow the flex along with the chassis.

The solder posts are not meant to be pulled on or have constant pressure on them. So take a minute and make sure you're wiring layout is clean AND suitable for abuse.

This has been a publice service announcement brought to you buy Tekin...

A Thanks and a question for TEKIN

Thanks Tekin I just got done putting my RX8 2250 combo in my erevo and it is GREAT. The only problem I had was trying to solder to the posts without burning the case, which I did:surprised:: Will you guys offer replacement cases later on. I do have a question: How do I set it to were there is a delay between foward and reverse, If i tap the break it goes straight to reverse, kinda dangerous

TekinTeamMgr 05.02.2009 10:59 PM

We may offer replacement cases for the RX8. They're a tight fit in the upper and it's not the easiest one to do on your own.

Change your MT or Motory type setting to LED 2 which is reverse delay.
