MMv3 Service

2 Attachment(s)
OK i got a MMv3 in a trade was brand new box only open to take pictures a guy got it back from CC as a replacement for his V2

Now few questions here

1. How Long does it take for service to get done?
2. Do i need to send in everything (ex:ESC,wires,Disk,Paperwork, etc.)
3. Will my Batt Plug be removed?

Thats all the questions i have for now i will be doing the support thing tomorrow morning just can't believe its going to cost me 70$ for a wire replacement :gasp: :surprised:

my esc lead wire melted and frayed somehow think from motor

Should kinda see what i am talking about in Pictures

this is what the CC website saids for repairs

Flat Fee Repair Costs - Car and Truck Products

Mamba Monster ESC $70.00

and its a non-warranty repair since i got it in a trade

Not a hard fix to do yourself, BUT
Castle charges $15 to replace the wires. REWIRING FEE not a whole ESC replacement...

then they won't charge 70$ only 15$?? so do i still check out with the 70$?? and they take w/e is needed to repair?

and i rather have a professional do it than anyone else or myself i suck at soldering

ok so confused

exactly what arct1k said just cut resolder and then heatshrink jobdone.

tryed putting eletric tape around doesn't help still cuts off with hitting throttle and brake and steering and going like 10ft away even on fully charged batts

Is the copper still intact? Is the insulation on the red wire Ok?

If yes, yes, yes - just put some tape on it an enjoy - it will be fine

is it just the insulation on the orange wire?
no has copper wire showing

Is the copper still intact?
Not for the orange wire has some frayed wires (like 2 or 3 can't tell without a mag glass)

Is the insulation on the red wire Ok?
Yes

and having castle do it

chilledoutuk 04.29.2009 10:30 PM

well you could just cut and resolder the cables.

its worth a try as castle rewire cost will be the same anyways even if you mash up the wiring even more yourself.

Before you send it in the issues your describing don't appear to be related to cable...
