Not cheap, but Powerstrokes are the best.

just a lil more than I want to spend right now...:gasp: but there is a used set on flebay |
There are several options.
+1 on the Proline PowerStrokes if you can fine them. Sometimes you can still find they on EBay. There was a set on the UE forum for sale. UE Supershocks, which are reworked Ofna shocks, but they are expensive also. Your best option may be AE RC8 front shocks. They are readily available and fairly inexpensive. |

there are 5 different sets of powerstrokes on ebay right now... all under different spellings... so most 1/8 buggy front shocks will work? I here these things have diff probs, is there any cheaper why to beef them up without spending $100+?? |

As linc said the 3905 diffs are pretty good with decent driving and appropriate tires. There are reports of problems but the majority of them are some combination of wrong gearing, big tires and bad drivings skills. The 3906 is a different story.
Oh, and yes most 1/8 scale front buggy shocks will fit. |

never had problems with my 3906 diffs... but the driveshafts on the 3905 are twice the size they were on my 3606:gasp: off to find some buggy shocks... |
Then you should not have a problem because the 3905 diff is a basicaly a Revo spec diff.

but $130 for shocks??? :o

I paid $130 for mine and it was a package deal that included the shocks, MIP/Proline CVDs, and Lunsford titanium turnbuckles. I regret selling em though...
|
still haven't found a decent set of shocks for it that I can afford...
I was origanaly planing on runing the 9l motor in this, but the RSpro sold so now I have a RX8/T2250 combo coming:yipi::yipi: I think I may need to upgrade the rear diff, but IDK... I'm thinking if I gear it for 45-50mph I should be good:lol: still no body:whip: |
the diffs seem pretty strong on the new emaxxs.
