I think I have a bad cell in my new zippy...

I just tried out my 4s 5000mah 4s zippy flightmax pack tonight. It's in my revo with a medusa 60-2000 and mm esc. While I was driving I got a ton of torque steer and a sound from the rear diff. damn..

Anyway, I put the pack on the blinky after I got done running it and one cell started blinking. I left the room and forgot about it. I just realized now I left it plugged for 20-30mins in and that cell is still blinking away.

I just noticed the third cell (the one right next to it) started alternate-blinking with it.

Is it just the maxamps/zippy balance blues? Will it get better? Is it a problem?:eyes:

I think it is fine. Lower quality cells tend to take a very long time to balance. I had a protek pack that usually took about 2-3 hours to fully balance.

Ahh, ok. I'll get my ass to the hardware store and get a multimeter soon... Then I'll be able to see the induvidual cell voltages..

I'm so used to my flightpower pack that's always balanced.

yeah...my flightmaxes were teh same way...it was always the 4th cell too....i have the common sense rc balancer...its like the blinky (same size/shape/setup)but it also as a small LED screen that flashes the voltages of each cell as well....so you can see which cells are out of balance and by how much.

OK, OK... I had one.. BUT... Well, I was trying to see how many volts a bbq sparker put out.. That was ok.... Then I was trying to measure the voltage of an outlet to show off to a friend.. I wasn't getting any reading.. I unplugged the leads and put them back in differently to try to get a reading... I saw a big ass spark! Lordy, Lordy I shorted my outlet..

So now the multimeter is toast and my friend leaves to go eat or something. I try to get on here but the internet isn't working... I ask my dad if he is having any problems and he says he doesn't have any cable or internet... Damn... So he calls the cable company and gets an appointment.

Later that night I was trying to fix the cable and saw a GFI outlet by the fusebox. It was tripped, and that is what controlled the internet and cable.:oh: I ran upstairs and told my dad something magically tripped the gfi.:diablo: Then we cancelled the cable guy and all was well..:intello:

And that's why I don't have a multimeter.:eyes:
