the tranny is locked into 2nd,i have cvds all around and in the middle,i didnt know about the diffs though.thank for informing me of that.
I am switching over from the tecko kit so i wont be using the clutch bell any more.so what is a good gearing to start with?I will be racing not bashing so there will belots of 20-30 min mains and i want to keep her cool as i can and run somewhere around 30-35 mph my maxx is geared for 30 and stays nice and kool
thanks for your help guys,i will order the mount now

a racer like me then...:party::yipi:

get some E-revo diffs at the least, center diff with some really heavy weight diff oil (the nitro revo center diff is a little too weak for my taste)

IMO i like what i have done and used a E-maxx 3905 tranny, loads stronger.

use mikes.s gearing calculator (google "rc calculations") and one of the first few will have a top speed estimator thing.
use that and gear your car for 40mph, that is almost garenteed to keep things cool enuff.

i have mine geared for 40mph and my temps are never over 130 on the motor :) running 5s :):whistle:

good luck in beefing it up.

Great thanks Shaun.Is the emaxx tranny a direct bolt in?

mopar1994 05.05.2009 03:36 PM

why do you put e-revo diffs in a revo conversion? are they stronger?

TexasSP 05.05.2009 05:37 PM

Yes, they are stronger.
