Have you guys been to BK's site lately
It's been a while since I went there (http://www.bk-electronics.com/html/controller.html), but was surprised by some of the things they have and will have. I also noticed some Chinese made products such a Suppo Style ESCs, out-runner and in-runner motors. They still mention Lehner in the in-runner section. The Warrior and Micro ESCs seems to be the same and only capable of running 2 pole motors. The Gold Master is the Suppo ESC. Now the good stuff, like 50-70C lipos and new ESCs such as the BK Cool 40180C (up to 12S lipos, 180A cont. and 280A bursts), 40250C (up to 12S lipos, 250A cont. and 400A bursts) and 40300C (up to 12S lipos, 300A cont. and 500A bursts). The max RPM for 2 pole is 180,000 and they state it should work with 2 - 20 pole motors. Now the Heros will handle up to 12S lipos and offers AMP ratings from 70 - 200A, will work with 2 - 20 pole motors, the RPM range is up to 250,000 and I hope it looks like the one in the picture.

Looks good. But sup with the cap being backwards?

And sup with the dual Rx leads?
|
You didn't hear about the high current RX's that are out?!
|
Lol! It's so that two people can drive at the same time on different Rx's. Duh...
|
Aah, you mean trainer mode. One can drive and the other just hits the brakes randomly.
I do like where the cap is located. |
On the cap- it's a cool looking design but I would prefer an external cap and a larger heatsink on the controller.

hey lutach,
I remember that esc shown on the pictue, I have read about it quite a while ago (a year?), in a magazine. I do remember because of that "funky" look. regarding the "cool" esc, I have an article in a mag (2006) about the prototype of that big thing, named dragon. I can scan that article, but it will be in german. I don't think I want to translate all the pages into english... It says that it's made for 1:5 use, and it was tested in a "carson schattenjäger". it says that not smd-mosfet but FET are used, TO-220, known to many from older esc's. they should run cooler in "partial-load", (teillast). it has a BEC up to 20 cells nimh. it can get connectet to your pc, timing in 1 deg. steps. it was used with a 45 mm diameter motor (with cooling fins), w. up to 2.000 watts peak performance. hope that helps flo |

I'm having a hard time reading the page you linked to, do the 12s controllers have brakes, reverse, pc programmable? Am I correct is that price almost 800.00 American dollars? |

The HEROS has an integrated datalogger which logs RPM, AMPS and VOLTS
