Castle Creations
i sent in a Mamba monster ESC to Castle creation in kanas, because the switch ripped off the board after a backflip that i landed perfectly, but the suspension was too soft. and it has been more than 9 days, and i called them up and asked if they had gotten it, and they haven't recieved it. weird huh?, or really slow mail, or should i be very concerned or be more patient.
check out this awesome flip at my track at Bayside rc, fremont http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yigSUQ2UliY  |
did you have tracking or insurance?
any time you ship anything that valuable you should always have them |

i don't have insurance, but if i don't get a email or a card from them saying they got , within the next week, then i will just get another ESC, take out the switch and solder the leads together , so this problem will never arise. i don't understand why they don't put the switch on the ESC. like have a on/off switch on the side bearly sticking out, or no switch at all...

I had this same issue when I shipped my MMM at the end of april. USPS priority got it there in 3 days, I checked my delivery confirmation to confirm. CC didn't "receive" it for more than a week:no:. It's still waiting on repairs 3 weeks after it was "received". I called up CC yesterday and they said they wouldn't be able to ship one out to me for at least another 2 weeks.
I had a very similar experience with Duratrax when I needed to send in a battery charger under a warranty claim :whip: |
NEVER trust USPS for anything important unless you pay out the butt for tracking, in which case, you shoulda used Fedex or UPS. I sent a care package to my girlfriend working outa state last year which included a "naughty" pic of me and farking USPS completely lost it, so some very lonely hotel manager or washer room lady has been "enjoying" my pic somewhere out there......

^^ OWNED!!!
ive never ever had any troubles from USPS...but i am also never the shipee, i'm just on the reciving end (international mail to australia) i always used to fear losing stuff in the mail:no: shaun |
it has been over 15 days since i sent the MMM Combo out to get repaired, all it is a f^&*%&$ switch , and they just sent me an email about the work order a few days ago, that is under warranty claim. and in the email they said it will take 2-14 days for me to get back, it should only take about 3-4days. tisk* tisk* small mail.

Theoretically it should take that short of time but you also do not know what their workload is. If they have enough other items in front of you I am sure it will take the time it does to fix all of those then yours. I have had warranted items take 3 months to come back repaired from a company that sounds like slovak and another one called sony.

UPS is EXTREMELY slow unless you pay the huge premium for 3-day, which costs twice as much as USPS's comparable option (Priority). However, with UPS, you WILL receive your package. Fedex, well, one of my friends has ordered several large items shipped through them, and has had a 50% success rate with their shipping service. |
I will say that I have had great luck with DHL, especially internationally. Most people do not think of them outside the business world but they have a proven track record. Most of the time though I ship small stuff USPS Priority and have never had a problem. Have even had things arrive in 1 day from some places. I have also never had anything lost shipping via USPS. I have had this happen with UPS though. It was something for work sent to me several years ago but I can't remember what it was.
