Got a new pup!

This last Saturday we put my oldest dog Sandy down do to some tough bladder cancer. Shortly after we started looking for Australian Shepherds and found Izzy.

Shes a real bundle of joy and a good way to get over the loss of a dog.

Damn, she's cuteeeeeee =]

Thanks. Its funny watching her and my Chihuaua play together. I am glad they get along seeing how much of a [female doggy] my Chihuaua is.

nice dog,

Haha, female doggy :p

My dog recently just died, say, Monday of last week.
White, rare, larger than normal (not fat, just taller and all, but by a couple inches, maybe 6?), mix.

Great dog, we had him for around 19-20 years.... human years. (that's about 133-140 dog years....)

Barely older than my middle brother, who is now 19 years old.

Weird thing is, is that he died of age, but he could jump, to get his food, run around like crazy in the backyard, he used to laps around the pool, but hated the actual pool water :p

I think he lasted so long because we hung up like a large water bottle, cut the middle part out, and dumped food in there, and at the bottom, we had a little slit, and stuck some lexan in, so if he wanted food, he could get on his rear legs, jump, hit the bottle with his front legs, and get food.

I know, inhumane, but damn, he got alot of exercise, and he seemed to like it after awhile..

We also gave him Monterrey(sp?) Jack cheese, we held it up about a foot, or two, and he would jump and snatch it out of our fingers.

We tried buying a bowl one time, but he kept kicking the bottle, and didn't eat out of the bowl, so I guess he liked the bottle instead

-.-

Dude! Aussies are great! I have one- a black tricolour. Her name is tillie and she's 10 years old. She's really cute and funny. We've had her since she was 8 weeks old.

PedeBasher 05.12.2009 09:20 PM

Really! We (my mom) wants to name our dog Tillie too. Short for Mattilda. We still are running through names. I know I said Izzy but we still cant decide.

BL_RV0 05.12.2009 10:19 PM

That's hilarious! Tillie (mine) is also named after matilda too! AND my mom came up with it! Tillie is a great name, because you can get them to come to "til". Not like if you name your dog crysanthemum, then you're screwed...:lol:

PedeBasher 05.12.2009 10:33 PM

Haha. We settled on Gracie. I will probably go out and get a name tag made up for her.

Wow, that shot is really clear, what camera is that?

I have a feeling it's something like a Cannon Rebel? Or a Nikon.....SLR?

Looks like a good watchdog

Thanks. It is a Nikon D60 Gold Edition. Its a beautiful shot.

The puppies biting has to stop! Shes a nut with it! Hopefully she will be a good watchdog because she seems to like biting humans the most.

Just nibbling - It is pack behavoir but you need to give feedback when they go too far otherwise they don't learn

PS cute pup

PedeBasher 05.13.2009 04:30 PM

Yeah I know. Shes starting to do the biting a little less. She has plenty of toys to chew but I guess she needs to get used to them a little more.
