40mhz and 27mhz

hi,

what are the advantages of buying a 40mhz control set rather than 27mhz?
ive seen 40AM and 40PM what do they mean?

cheers

not sure about the 40mhz. You must be from europe because it is not used here in america. The difference between AM and FM (I think that is what you mean)is thet the am is more susceptable to interferencethan FM, like a radio in a car

hi,

yes im from England.
thanks for that, 40AM will still not be that much interfearance if any though?

your range will be shorter but interferance shouldnt be a big concern.

hi,

what sort of range would you expect?

cheers

Not sure i run 75 FM and never had a range problem. I never had a problem with AM either, but i never let a car go more than 3-500 ft from me.

To tell the truth, I used a 40mhz frequency and its really bad and easily to be interfered. 27 or 75 are thw best whether FM or AM.

Hear in England 40AM or FM is what people recommend the most, maybe around different countries may be different. only guessing though lol

I use a 40mhz FM too! (you can also get them in AM)

a 27mhz can be good! it's easier though, to make a good 40mhz.
