smart diff's not so smart in a brushless setup?

Well.. I finally caved and upgraded my center diff on my 8ight-e buggy to a smart diff and with in 10 minutes it had a stripped gear and not working.

Anyone else have a bad or good experience w/ these smart diffs? It seems like you are dropping quite a bit in size, too much for brushless torque.

Smartdiffs

I'm running 4 smartdiffs (front & center in two truggies) and I've had no problems so far. They work great and they make me a faster driver!

I am using SD in both my Losi buggy and truggy (center)for the past few months and they having been working fine. Not night and day difference but I can tell that they are working. I opened up my diffs today to repack with grease and they still look like new.
