Can a BL motor be run in reverse-rotation without any loss in power or efficiency?

Like the title asks, can a brushless motor be run in reverse-rotation without any loss in power or efficiency?

The reason I ask is because I am building a brushless 1/8 GS Racing Storm buggy, and I would like to move the RCM motor-mount from the right-rear to the left-front, because I have a layout in mind that would be perfect if I can put the motor in that spot...the only problem is, with the motor in that location, it will spin the drive-train backward. But if I can run the motor in reverse-rotation everything will be perfect!

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide, it will be much appreciated!

just switch two of the three wires. everything is the same but the rotation.

...if you would be using a system with sensor cables, you may not just change the cables, that can blow the esc. without sensor no problem.

Wye motors run better in one direction.

Delta motors run the same for both directions.

But Wye motors have better torque and efficiency than delta motors and although it has different performance in different rotational directions, the difference isn't alot.

Sweet! It's a sensorless motor!
