motor hang direction question
is it better for the motors to hang off the transmission towards the back or front. not sure how to explain it, so here are two pictures. left side is the back

I don't think it matters. I would mount the motor(s) on it and see which orientation gives you the weight distribution you want. Some people may want more weight in front to tame wheelies, while some may want more weight in the rear for better rear traction (and wheelies). The only issue is the motor direction, which can be fixed by swapping any two motor wires (if brushless).

lol :yipi: weight distribution, i forgot about that. i was thinking on the lines of the motor bouncing.
thank you, i also have to see where my esc/receiver will go (don't have one yet). |
I assume you'll be using only one BL motor? If so, some people used to make a plate on the spare mounting area, like so:
