What is the difference between these two escs (other than price)?
Goto the brushless esc page at rcmonster. You will see a BK 20120 and a BK 12020 controller. The 12020 costs $280, and the 20120 costs $400! What is the difference?
the limit on the 20120 is 201 amps and the limit on the 12020 is 120 amps, i think its like that.
The info on the controller says that it runs 120 amps as well

it is mentioned in this thread http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...&threadid=2055 they both handle 20 cells and 120 amps |

one is a micro and one is a warrior. That is the differnece in price. the micro has more programming options and runs better on part throttle
Mike, is it worth the 120 difference. I will be running 2 3s2p packs of lipos on a 11xl, will I need this extra programming?
If you going that far in price. You may consider the 3695 for the 11xl. You would be able to run 8s on it then. Have the extra power and speed. Just a suggestion.
well, I wasn't planning on spending that much on a esc, but if the difference is significant I would shell out for it.
well the 36 95 would be a big difference for the price. Get the extra cells on it for more power and run time. ;) To me it is hard to tell the difference. I think it depends on what you do with it to. If you race and stuff. You may want the more controllible features.

For just bashing around, most people won't know the difference between the two controllers. The Micro series is the premium controller, which means it uses better components and is more programmable. The 3695 is an interesting option, though. This can take some serious voltage for those who dare!
