Suspension issue

On my Savage X build I used warhead shock towers and shocks. The issue is that if I use the middle mount position on the tower, the shocks bottom out a good half inch before the chassis bottoms out. This is obviously not good as I dont want to destroy my shocks. If I move the shocks to the upper mount position on the tower, the chassis and shocks bottom out at about the same point which is good, but then I lose all my droop (ride height) and the suspension arms sit pretty close to level when the truck is off the ground. This is because of a combination of the shock length and tower height Im assuming...

How can I fix this so that the chassis bottoms out before the shocks, AND I still have droop to spare in the arms? If I get shorter shocks, that will fix the bottoming out, but then Ill still have the droop problem...? :grrrrrr:

So you want droop or dont want droop?

Sounds like I'm trying to sell something here...

The only way to fix this is to move the bottom and/or top mounting points inward, assuming you keep your current shocks. But if/when you do either/both of these, you may need to alter the height of the upper mounting positions.

I do want droop, as in I dont want the arms to be stuck level when I lift the truck up. I think metalman is right, Ill have to either just move to an inner point on the tower or live with it. Problem is that with the front tower, moving to an inner point will require me to file away some of the tower as the shock would otherwise be pushed very far forward, kind of like this (side view of front on left and rear on right) \======|

I got it straightened out, I filed down some material and moved the tower mounting points inward. Lost a tiny bit of droop but now shocks and chassis bottom out at same time, just where I wanted it!
