Best place to buy new stuff! Need your opinion
Hi Guys,
Well because the dollar is pritty low to the euro all europeans are buying from the US. But we have to pay custom tax if it's above 150 euro (210 dollar) Most companys, like towerhobbies put the REAL value on the package, but some, like hobbycity don't. Well the second one is a huge advantage. (Example: friend of me bought savage flux + some extras from towerhobbies, now he has to pay 200+ dollar custom tax, that's damn much!) So I'm searching some sites where you can ask/say if they put a lower value on the package. Do you guys know some sites? I only know hobbycity, and the only good thing they got are the LiPo's  Thanks, Patrick |
I'm real interested in this topic to!
I had to pay €115 (150$) to customs for my E revo... :S |
I am sure rcm Mike would oblige if you asked. He can get pretty much anything your little heart desires...
|
falsifying custom documents is a federal offence so you better not discuss this :diablo: on a forum.
US stores should put invoice on the box (like tower or amain do) HongKong based stores dont care, they put anything on the box  |
Keep in mind that what you paid for it and what it is worth can be 2 different amounts...
|
Mike I don't believe does this

Try RCMart ;)

On RCmart they haven't got any Castle stuff... :(
Maybe Towerhobbies still IS the cheapest to buy, because "we" (international customers) get pretty huge discounts. Like: 75$ off 300$. So I can get a MMM Combo for 225 dollar :D Yes, those HK do this, on hobbycity you can even choose which amount they should put on it. Last time I chose for 30% |
1. Buy your stuff from Rc-M. He won't mark as gift, but packages go through customs easily and shipping is fast.
2. Buy your MMM combo from a chop-shop off ebay. Prices are still pretty high, but these packages get by customs pretty easy and sellers will sooner label the package as gift. 3. Liquidrc packages tend to pass customs easily aswell. Prices will be higher, but you'll save on customs. 4. Buy in batches. Don't make one big order, but make a few small ones. Again more shipping costs, but easier to pass customs. 5. Buy in Europe (UK), some shops actually have pretty good prices. |
