Feigao 9xl

What am I gunna need to make my emaxx hold up to feigao 9xl power on most likely 14 cells?

You going to need a set of steel idlers. The stock sliders are not going to hold either. The slipper is not going to hold unless you tighten it down tight. If you do that then the diffs are at risk. I would recommend the strobe slipper. For 14 cells I would also run a 16 51 gearing with the stock diff. If you want a better truck the 1/8 diffs are a great upgrade.

I run 14 on a 7XL and it's great power and speed, I can't see a 9XL been fast on just 14 cells? I've not used one but I consider higher-wind motors the more cells they need to be faster? Can someone justify how that works?

well with a higher tun motor such as a 9xl you can gear higher and still get good runtime but extra cells do help
