Servo's for 8ight-T - steering & maybe brakes?
hi all,
Can someone help recommend the speed & torque of a steering servo for an 8ight-T conversion, and also one for brakes (not sure if I will run mech. brakes or not yet). I have no idea what to use as baseline specs for servo's. thanks all Primus95 |
You are looking for something over 250 for steering like a Hitec 7955TG and something fast around 150 for brakes 7940TG / HS-5945MG
|
Yep, the Hitec 7955TG is a great servo for a truggy setup because of the Titanium gears. The Ti gears can take and handle the pounding a truggy throws on the servo. Otherwise you'll be replacing gears in the servo.

awsome thanks Arct1k, just lookin through my Tower catalogue now . . .those ones aint cheap :) . . nothing good is though. cheers

Skip mech brakes and that'll save you a servo - You also need to hunt around for deals :)

I use the JR8711.

+1 to Hitec, I use Hitec 5955TG(now replaced by 7955TG), great servo but just a bit noisy, not an issue for outdoor use.
I also recommend Futaba BLS351, tough and fast brushless servo. |
cheers boys for all the info, I'll check them all out.
