Question about Transmitter batteries

I recently swapped my batterise in my transmitter to nimh AA, they are energizer 2300's and duracell 2050's. I have an old transmitter battery tray and can charge them on my charger for my rc cars. my question is; What is a safe amperage to charge them with? The chargers are Duratrax piranna digital chargers and are capable of up to 3.0 amps on a/c and 5.0 on d/c. I know i can't charge at full power but i can charge my reciever packs at 1.0 amp safely. Can i charge the transmitter batteries at 1.0 to 2.0 amps safely? or should i just use the charger i got with them(duracell charger) thanks in advance.

Toss them on the Piranha, just don't go above 1 amp and they'll be fine. I personally run the Energizer 2500's in my MX-3 and a 1 amp charge will last at least 3 weeks.
