8ight-t gearing questions
 

hi guys,

Lookin at buying an RX8 1700Kv combo. I want to get into the 40+ mph range on 5S. Using the speed calc I would need to gear at least 15/47 - 16/47, is this too high for a 1700Kv motor on a Neu 5s1p 6500mah lipo? Would ideally like to us this as a basher/club racer.

I run a 5s on a Neu 2.5d (1750 I think) w/ 15/48 gearing and it's MORE than enough going against even the fastest truggies. It's a perfect setup... 16t gets you a bit more top end but also you start loosing run time so I'd stay away from this racing iMO.
