Everyone, while I was surfing around the net I came across a website that sells 1/5th scale electric cars whether off or on road. However, the electric components which they sell for these huge machines are brushless systems. Interesting, though. The motors are identical in structure to the BK Wanderers. They call it the HARM( its the company that makes 1/5 machines) brushless motors. Maybe its like the Nemesis and Feigaos, but with different label and company name?!!

Here's the place: www.vsmodelsport.com/chassis_ep-1.htm

how much?

captain harlock 01.24.2006 10:43 PM

No idea, sorry.

Carson make the same cars. Not sure of the relationship between the two companies.

BK works with HARM for the power systems. The controllers are made by BK and the motor are wanderer xls. :)

I thought so, Mike. I was just interested, though. I have no intention, whatsoever, in 1/5 scale machines. 22 series would be better for these big things IMO.

you could also but a 30 series in one and you would have plenty of room to put batteries

2280 with 32 cells have already made a 170+ kmh speed record in an onroad 1/5 car, FYI. A 30 series is absolutely rediculous.

I want to go fast, but not rediculously fast.

170 on only 32 cells?

captain harlock 01.26.2006 02:21 PM

Yep, only 32 cells. The car was pretty light, actually, like 1/5 scale pan car or something. It was customly designed, so the chassis and body look somewhat stupid.

I called VS they told me the cost of the EP-1 with the "car power package" is $1377 the car power package looks like an L size motor and a 7020 I am thinking about buying it.......Unfortunately they wont sell me the chassis alone, I want to put anywhere from a xl size motor to maybe a 22 size motor in this beast...... 1/5th scale powerslides, 360s, high speed runs, and burnouts.... thats what I want. Maybe i could sell the stock system or put it in a 1/10th scale. Could a 12020 handle a 22 series? I would like a mgm 16024 if it was avalable in a car version.

captain harlock 02.02.2006 04:53 PM

Well, the 12020 will handle the 22 series, but you cant feed your motor with enough volts. Go for the 2250 with a 3695 controller.
