Who makes Mod 1.0 pinions for 3mm shafts?
I’m doing some electric conversions and I need some Mod 1.0 pinions to fit the 3mm electric motor shafts so I can use the old nitro spur gears but all I can find is 5mm Mod 1.0s. Does anyone know where I can find some 3mm Mod 1.0s?

If you mean a 3.2mm (1/8th) shaft; you can get a bore reducer in the RC-Monster store and use the 5mm pinions.

A bore reducer would work and I might do that but do they only have shaft reducers for 3.2mm shafts? Some of the models I am converting are 1/10 and I am using 540 and 550 size motors that have 3mm shafts. But some other models that I am converting are going to use motors with 3.2mm shafts so I will keep that in mined.

What motor has a 3mm shaft?
Maybe the company just said 3mm assuming you'd assume the 3mm shaft is actually a 3.2mm shaft. |
Aye- so long as it starts 3.xxmm, then its just a 3.17mm shaft (also called 3.2mm, 3mm, 1/8"). Mikes bore reducer is all thats needed
As a final check, you could use some calipers or a micrometer to check all your shafts (rude joke potential @ 90%).. |
If your shaft is only 3mm you'd best get a sleeve for it, make it look bigger  +1 to the bore reducer.
