Shipping lipo restrictions
I heard Auspost Australian post no longer ships Lithium. SO what happend when one is ordered and comes in ?
How do you get around this ? I dont live in Australia, just buying a used one and evidently there post doesn't allow it. Any ideas ? Thanks |
I live in Sydney & have bought & sold lipos from US, China (& Hong Kong, same I know but different) etc...never an issue for me. Guess it depends on how it's declared to Australia Post...
Prohibited item examples or International post regulations. Good luck with the last one it a 305pg pdf!! |
k so do you not say it's a lipo and get away with it ? isn't there a big fine if you do ?
Do they scan and find out what it is ? Quote:

SpeedAssualt I've got no real idea, all I'm saying is it's not been an issue for me & in the quick look I had at the prohibited items list I didn't see any reference to lithium
I'm assuming you're buying one from here? If so, who has given you that advice? If I were sending it to you, I'd fill out the declaration correctly but if I were refused at Australia Post, I'd try another outlet - some of the employees in these places may interperate rules differently...then I'd use FedEx or UPS or another commercial carrier, they'll get it to you |

thank you |
That's a shame, try a commercial carrier might be a little more but they'll handle it
Good luck |
