MMM amp draw vs HV-110 amp question
Hi guys,
I am trying to learn about eletrics and had a question about the amp spec of the esc, on castle it say the MMM have 120A continuous, it also say the HV110 50 volt have 110 max amp draw.... Is it the same spec? what that mean... I know it can handle 50volt and the MMM 25.2volt, but what those amp rating stand for? Some batteries say 150 amp continuous .... im lost on that a little... Trying to find a good setup for a friend, he want the Neu 1527 1d 2300kv it handle 26 volt, but he want a good esc to handle that and more if he decide to get something stronger... Thx for any help and explanation... :) |
The HV110 is an airplane ESC. Therefore, brakes are not gonna work the way you want, you need a Pistix adaptor so you can use a pistol-grip radio, no reverse, you need an external BEC or receiver pack, and it is not designed for the burst currents that land vehicles pull. However, if you have a brake servo, don't mind not having reverse, and are planning to use high voltage in lieu of high currents, then it is a solid ESC.
But, the MMM is designed for car use, has reverse, has brakes, has a built-in BEC, and is designed for pistol grip radios. So, if running up to 6s, the MMM is a no-brainer. |
What kind of setup needs a 1527?

The HV110 is actually rated at 110amps continuous and 170amps max. However, Brian is right about the bursts...the HV110 doesn't have the snap the MMM has.
