Online music question

Wondering if anyone knows if a program exists that will allow one to copy music/video off youtube? Seems to be the best place I have found to get what I want to hear. I do remember a program that would rip music off streaming internet radio, and split it up into mp3 automatically. Only issue was that you got everything, and had to wade thru the crap.

If your using firefox, find the addon Downthemall.

lets you download any content off a web page- including video from youtube. then you just need to convert the video into a more common format.

My friend told me about Save2PC. It works pretty good if you get the full version. Tubesucker is pretty good too, I think, as it has a converter built in. It does put videos in a strange codec tho.

Brijar!!!

Thanks guys, I will have to give them all a try and see which does the best for me. I guess looking for a program that will download just the music portion as a mp3 would be out of the question, huh?

Just google youtube downloader.
Then rip the music.
Pretty simple IMO.
I use it for videos, and music.
Great little bugger(s)

The most reputable one by me, is the Videora Youtube Downloader, then the one that's in CNet.com

For just music, try LegalSounds.com. Songs are around $0.09 each and many new ones are free. It's Russian though, so legality is questionable. Or, go to eSnips, listen to a song, and grab it from your temp internet files folder.

I have "VCast Song ID" on my phone, put that up to the speaker and let it "listen" for about 10 seconds and it sends that sound sample in and tells me what song it is. Then I go to Amazon.com and buy it. Amazon.com is the only place I'll buy MP3s from, screw iTunes and other DRM-infested providers. I can buy it, put it on all of my computers, my MP3 player, and burn to disc all without having to jump through any hoops.
