Mini LST2 - Needs new servo
Well, I was running my Dads MLST2. And then I heard ''crack'' Now it doesn't steer very well. I know that MLST2 Servo's suck. So I'll buy a new one.
I want some cheap servo that fits and is better than the stock servos. (I prefer 1 servo) I DON'T want the exotek 1 servo chassis because that one costs a fortune... So does anybody knows a good servo for my Dads MLST2? Thanks, Patrick |
I run JR s241mg's in mine. I went through quite a few stock servos, then I put these in. They're an (almost) direct drop in, only minor drilling required (on an easily replaced part, not the chassis itself), and are really solid.
I keep blowing diffs on it now (got a shim kit to see if I can fix that), but have had 0 servo issues since I dropped in the 241's. I run two, not sure if they have enough torque to run just 1. Tony |

I looked on internet, but those servo's costs 40 dollar each! :whip: Aren't there cheaper servos? (without doing to much modifications) Did you already tried to do the little gears (so the 4 ones in the diff, I forgot the name) in hot water for 10 minutes? I heard that the diffs will be much harder to destroy if you do that... |
I've got plans to redo the diffs with boiling the gears, just haven't taken the time to do it.
I didn't bother trying any other cheaper servos, yeah, they're $40 each, but it did put a total end to needing to fix them any more! |
The first thing I'll do is, like you said; boiling the gears...
I'm gonna search for a cheap servo/servos now.. $40 each is too much IMO |
