bullit plugs and rx8

I got a rx8 1900 system for my 8ight buggy. I would like to use bullit connectors to make the motor easier to remove. I have Castle 4mm bullits on hand. Will these work with the 12ga wire? Should I get some 6mm bullits? Opinion please.

6mm plugs will handle teh current better and offer lower resistance- i would get bigger plugs

What batteries will you be using? With the 1900 kV, probably 5s LiPo?

The 4mm will be fine as long as they are decent quality. In fact that is what all of the Tekin guys used in alot of the testing. 4mm plugs on everything. They talked about and still may in the future offer a version of the ESC with 4mm bullet connectors rather than the solder posts.

Thanks for the information. I will try to get the larger plugs if the hobby shop is out of stock I will use what I have. The battery is a TP 4s 5000. I got the 1900 as recommended by Tekin.

Yeah the 4mm connectors. Must make sure that you some how make sure to ALWAYS wire the motor correctly. And that the speedo end gets the female sides.

Does it really make that much of a difference?

jhautz 06.20.2009 11:45 PM

Yea, it matters with a sensored system like the tekin. Wires in the wrong order means poof.

EDIT: Just read that again....

The reason for females on the ESC side is in case they accidentally unplug, they wont short out on each other or anything else as easily with the female sides.
