Wondering if it'll work with my nomadio react radio? Anyone know?

e-mikey 06.17.2009 04:28 PM

or spektrum?

BL_RV0 06.19.2009 04:21 PM

Anyone?

Gee 06.19.2009 04:35 PM

I don't think it would be able too. From what I read (in the reviews section at HC) they are setup/programmed to work with certain system. Don't know the jargen and hobbycity is down. The question was asked there also and the explaination was a little more technical but those also will only work with the brand they are made for also. It would be nice to get a hold of less expensive receivers for transmitters.

BL_RV0 06.19.2009 05:15 PM

Well that sucks. Hopefully there's something out there...

Gee 06.19.2009 05:42 PM

Yeah, but I am not 100 percent sure. It may work, Losi 2.4 DSM are suppose to work with the spektrums. Maybe this is one of those.

It says auto detect on it. Have you searched over at the RCC forums? I bet they know since that's a rc4wd site.

EDIT: I just bought a M8 with HSSS so I did a little searching of my own:

Well it looks like those RXs will not work with any other 2.4 TX. What about this one though?

Channels: 3
Receiving Frequencies: 2.403 - 2.480GHz
Modulation: FHSS spread spectrum

It should work with the m8/m11 2.4Ghz modules and anything else that uses the FHSS type modulation...however Airtronics uses the FHSS-2 and FHSS-3 so I'm not completely sure.

BL_RV0 06.19.2009 07:07 PM

According to amain, my nomadio uses FHDSS. Is that the same?

gtxracer 06.19.2009 07:39 PM

Doubt it, sounds like a different technology. You'll have to do more research though, I don't know for sure.

BL_RV0 06.19.2009 07:48 PM

FWIW: FHDSS stands for:
Frequency Hopping Digital Spread Spectrum

You can use the same receiver in multiple trucks if that's an option. It's free.

There's this stuff at radioshack called dual-lock or something. It's like velcro and it takes a screwdriver to get apart.

the little losi 2.4ghz rx works fine with all the spectrum tx and tx modules.... ive got two of them and 3 spectrum rx's all work fine with any of my spectrum radios.
