mamba max 6900kv problem
 

hi guys,i just got this combo for a tc4 last week.on my first pack(2s)the car suddenly stopped,i went and checked and it had a slight burnt smell,motor and esc were cold but when i took off the batts the wires were hot.now all the system does is cog.what do you think the problem is?do you think its the esc or the motor?any opinions appreciated.thanks

Did you try a different battery? What battery were you using?

I don't hear of many MM failing.

Sounds like your motor bit the dust. Did your mounting screws get screwed in so far that they hit the windings? That could be the problem.

The solder points for the motor and power wires are exposed on the bottom of the ESC, so something may have touched the battery connections at least partially shorting it out. Could also be an ESC failure where the FET(s) locked "on". Could be a partially/fully demagged motor which causes lots of current to flow.

In other words, there are a lot of possibilities. The cogging you describe sounds like a motor or ESC issue. If you have a different motor, I would try that first.

Sounds like a motor failure. Send it to castle, they should warranty replace it for you.

bl:the thing is i just found out my MMM v1 doesnt work anymore.thats why i got a tc4,mm coz i know theyre bulletproof:lol::cry:just to get by.well,im stuck with my lst2(nitro)yuck!!!I REALLY MISS BRUSHLESS!!!!:cry:

borrowed a system from my friend.it was the esc.ill be sending this to castle.thanks guys
