BL Revo
Okay guys, here are some pics of my Revo project:

Only need to get a motor and controller, wheels and a body. Can't wait to test it. Hope you like it DAF |
NICE!!!
What motor are you gonna drop in? How much does the frame weights like this? I love the construction of the revo! |
Hi Serum, glad you like it.
Ja, I also love the Revo setup. I have no exact number, but I would guess it weights about the same as a stock E-maxx, if not even less. I'll check it when I have the chance. The weight distribution should be similar to the E, and the CG should be lower than the stock nitro RVO. As for motors: I would love to get a Plettenberg Maxximum with fan, but this will have to wait until those new Castle controllers are available. I think Schulzes are way overpriced. So in the meantime I might get another Nemesis. I like to run my MT's on 14 cell, so the decision is obvious. I still have an EVX and some old Titans lying around. This setup would give me a good idea on how it compares to the stock E. But in the end it has to be BL, that's for sure. It's only a matter of time now. (and, there's still this horrible white stuff lying around here. I don't want my new baby to get wet on its first run) DAF |
I had to pic my jaw up off the floor when I saw that. That is the 2nd e-revo I have seen and its way better than the first. Excellent work, Dafni. Interested in possibly building another?
|
:D Thanks, I like it alot, too.
Ja, Iīm already thinking of Version 2. The built up was so much fun, enjoyed every step. Mind you, on the pics you hardly see the flaws:rolleyes: With some help I could crank out a conversion kit, though. But I would surely have to test it myself before. Melt, snow! Melt! |
GREAT DAFNI!
I think you did a great job on that revo and the revo is much better brushless! I agree with you that the schulze controller are too expensive for what you get. I live in Holland and went on Holiday to Switzerland, how much snow is there at the moment? |
HOLY MOLY! That's an awesome looking conversion, Dafni! Really clean, too -- of course I don't really know the insides of the Revo. At any rate, it all looks factory original to me.

:D Thanks guys
Supermaxx, yeah, BLīs always better :L: Snow is almost gone down here in the valley, too cool. I know from a dutch friend that you guys have exceptionally cold weather up there, right? Well, I hope winter shoves off now. I still have to paint a body for the Revo, but anything else should be more or less ready to go. Thanks for the feedback |
Last week it was very cold and alot of snow for our country!
You are in a valley, is there a good spot to drive? |
Oh, here itīs either up onna mountain, or down in the valleys. Not much of flat areas, as you might know.
Yeah, here are plenty of good bashing spots around. Gravel pits, wood, rock piles, whatever. But unfortunately thereīs no track in my area. Just the little 8-shaped track in front of my house, or in a nearby wood. |
Yes, I know that that's why I asked you where to drive.
I also don't have a track in my area, I wish there was one, so you could compete with other trucks or friends, would be great! |
Ja. Same here.
But I donīt even have BL infected friends here, just some nitro smokers, and I donīt let them bash my house track. |
No, I would do the samething.
You would probably beat them! |
That looks great! Keep us updated, Ican't wait to hear how this thing performs.:D

did the tranny just bolt in?
