Placing order on TowerHobbies and paying via Money Order

I need help on how I should place an order on TowerHobbies and paying via a Money Order.

I can't use PayPal or anyone's credit card so my only option is to use a Money Order. I've never used a money order but on the TowerHobbies Mail Order form it has a box to check if you use a money order and your payment is enclosed.

So all I need to do is print the order form, fill it out, and then go the post office and send a Money Order right?

Will I get a form when I go to the post office saying that I sent a Money Order that I should include with the Mail In Order or something else?

If anyone else has any ideas on how I could order stuff on-line without using PayPal or a Credit Card it would be very helpful.

Does anyone you know have a PayPal account? You could just give them cash and have them place the order for you. Otherwise I think you have to order by mail with the MO. Fill out an order form and send the MO with it. Here (http://www.towerhobbies.com/ordering.html) it says "Prepayment: You may prepay your order with a personal or business check or US Postal Money Order (U.S. funds only)."

The only person I could give money to would be my sister but she is out of the country for the next few months.

So when I get ready to mail the order form I should make a Money Order at the Post Office and include the form with the envelope right.

I've never made a money order before so I just go the the Post Office with enough money for the order and shipping and a few extra bucks for shipping.

I've never used a MO either. That sounds right though- Go to the PO, bring the order form all filled out, get the MO, mail it all from there. You could always call Tower and ask them how to properly go about it.

How long do you think it would take from the time I send the MO and Order Form?

Probably a few days for them to get it, another to approve the MO, another to pick/place the order, then shipping time. So maybe 2-4 days longer than ordering online with a CC.

OK thanks for all of the help.

I'll do that or I might get a Visa GiftCard and use that.

Easy stuff.

Yes you can order by using a money order. First purchase the MO wich will cost you like a doller, plus whatever the amount is for your purchase. If you go a little bit over the required amount Tower Hobby will place a credit on your account. Once you purchase the MO just fill it out with Tower Hobby as the receiver. Make sure you keep the customer copy and send TH the hard copy (signed). Sending it through USPS Priority Mail will cost you like $3 but it will get there in one or two days. There should not be any delays in processing the order since it is being paid for by Goverment money order. It should only take a few days for them to get it out to you. No biggie.

Have you tried going to the local bank and getting an account setup with a debit/Visa card? It should be failry easy to do, and then you will be setup for future on-line purchases. That would be your best bet. Good luck with that.

I'm going to go to WalMart and see if I can get a PrePaid Debit Card there. They are re loadable and only $5 a month and I would be able to buy stuff online.

That would save a trip to the PO every time you want something...
