i pretty much copy the layout of the Tekno kits and buy the parts needed from them and RCM to complete my conversion or just buy the complete chassis conversion kit direct from them. just get the kits with the right size motor mount.

by the way, you failed to mention which jammin truggy is this. the .5, x1, or x2?

chase 06.29.2009 01:52 AM

x1 so no tekno chassis

Here's a couple shots of my old Jammin:

I made a very supportive and secure battery tray from 1/8 lexan for the 5s lipo I was running. Otherwise its just a RC-Monster motor mount and removal of the nitro components.

I would suggest going to the Hyper ST center diff and 52T spur. And then swapping to truggy ratio diffs in the front and rear.

your mounting your receiver above the steering servo right?

ok, so here is what i would do. isnt the x2 just longer than the x1? but has the same screw pattern for mouting the front, rear, and center assemblies to the chassis? arent most of the parts compatible? i looked at doing a x2 conversion back when it first came out and if i recall almost all of the x1 hopups fit the x2.

so back to what i would do. i have had friends doing this with their 8ight 1.0 kits.

make sure the parts are compatible and if so buy the tekno x2 conversion kit and then buy the x2 center CVDs. this way you get the extended chassis of the new x2 but without having to buy one. alot of people are doing this same thing on 8b and 8t conversions. just buying the tekno 8ight 2.0 conversions and a rear CVD and turning their 8 1.0 into a brushless 2.0 respectively.

talk to tekno as they will know if the parts match up from the x1 and x2 and whether you will need both the front and rear center cvd or just the rear cvd. and check out amainhobbies.com to find the CVDs needed as i dont think tekno carries many jammin parts.

well im kinda on budget

Ill only have enough for two 25c 4s 4900mah lipos

and hobbywing 150a motor and esc combo

rcm motor mount

Ryu James 06.29.2009 02:09 AM

here you go. these are for the X2-crt

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ersal-Shafts-2

now what motor are you running? you could have a sick conversion kit for about $175 going this route. it will look factory clean too.

Ryu James 06.29.2009 02:12 AM

if your on a budget do like a lot of guys and order the RCM mount/servo mount and RCM tray. about $85 less.

Ive got universals and im on a budget. Its not gonna be the best truck but I want the simplicity

nitrostarter 06.29.2009 02:14 AM

On a budget, then get Mike's mount and make a battery tray and you're done.

chase 06.29.2009 02:17 AM

thanks for the pics do you ever have any problems with the esc hanging out there?

big greg 06.29.2009 02:38 AM

heres some pics of mine, i made the speedo mount out of a peice of aluminum, the battery tray came from new era, i just drilled then tapped the holes in the chassis with 2 screws to hold it down, same for the strap, the tray is like 15 bucks shipped, i thought it was a good deal
