Can anybody tell me if these will fit? (17mm extensions)
I just bought LincPimp's Buggy/pede (pede with ofna hyper buggy suspension front/rear).
The front is a touch wider than the rear (because the arm mounting points on the bulkhead are wider than the mounting points on the pede tranny). The difference is only about a 1/2 - 3/4 inch but I was hoping I could easily solve this. Does anyone know if truggy 17mm adapters and buggy 17mm adapters are all universally sized? I found these on ebay and was hoping i could just slap two of these on the rear to widen it 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. http://cgi.ebay.com/ofna-jammin-x1-c...3%3A1|294%3A50 Or do truggies generally have larger mounting points on the axle than buggies? Any help is greatly appreciated! |
im not too sure you want to use extensions. back in the day, i wanted to use them but asked the forums and every single person told me not to use them.
causes alot of strain on your driveshafts and especially if you do alot of jumps, it can break stuff very easily. maybe go with 1/2 off set wheels? |
Well that amount of extension is nothing (its only extended little less than a half inch). Granted there is more straing (more leverage) on the axles/carrier than stock, im willing to deal with that.
Plus 1/8 buggy carriers/axles are quite beefy so those huge bearings will not have a problem. I run the integy adaptors on my rustler (which extend the front 1 1/2 inch and the rears about an inch) and have not had a problem yet. And the rustler uses tiny cheap axles compared to buggy parts. Thanks for looking out though! I think im just going to bid and hope they fit. |
