Redline Sensored Kv equivalents..

Hi Guys,
Anyone know or care to post the Turn to Kv equivalent for the Sensored Redline motors?

ie 8.5T = ???Kv

cheers

TekinTeamMgr 07.12.2009 01:37 PM

8.5 is about 5500kv or so.

littlejohn 07.12.2009 05:26 PM

thanks.. so a 5.5T =??
I'm basically trying to work out a nice fast setup for a B44

TekinTeamMgr 07.13.2009 01:28 AM

Oh no. That's the KV. For a b44 my favorite motor is the Redline 6.5 by far. It's smooth and plenty fast fore most tracks for sure.

Bugger... got the 5.5 already.. :(

The 5.5 is a good motor for 4wd mod. It will be stupid fast but I've been known to run one. Try it out and see. Worst case you'll turn it down a bit on the speedo!

Hi trying to decide on which motor for my buggy, either 6.5 or maybe 7.5. Will be running on small and large tracks aswell as playing around in the backyard. Will be using nimh but that is until a get lipo. What speeds would a be looking at with the 7.5 on 2s lipo. Roughly what kv ratings or those motors?

TekinTeamMgr 08.20.2009 10:46 AM

The 7.5 is MORE than enough for a 2wd buggy. Most of us are running the 8.5 on 2s.

Rought KV is about 5500 or so on the 7.5. With the timing adjustment this can be altered quite a bit which is why we don't list kv's on our site.

Sorry it is a Losi XXX-4 not a 2wd buggy, would go with the 7.5 if it was 2wd. I notice that in xrc most 4wd buggies they test usually run 5.5 or 6.5, i know 5.5 is overkill for what i want which is why i am deciding on either 6.5 or 7.5. Roughly what speed would i be looking at with both the 6.5 and 7.5? Also I have heard of some guys turning down the epa on the radio if the motor is to much for the track, is this correct.

You could turn down the epa. I run the 6.5 more often than not on a lot of tracks.

hey hello tekinteammgr!!!
I was thinking to get a tekin redline sensored for my sc10, but i dont know which one to choose. My sc10 is very bad to handle (i though since it have a bigger wheelbase will easy to handle than my t4, but it isnt), so i want a the fastest motor that will be easy to drive in my sc10, i dont race spec race or anything else cause in spain there arent, but i like to have fun on the track and some bashing.
Knowing that which will be the better for my style, i was thinking in a 10.5t, how many kv will it have, like 4000?
Im going to use it with a novak gtb (sorry XD), hope it will work fine.
Also im planing to get a rx8 combo for my stock e-maxx and wanna know if i buy it now, the motor will come with the shaft fixed or it will come with the shaft that is known to have problems
Thanks and sorry about my english!!

I have the new rotors so if you buy from here, you will get the newest rotor installed. :)

TekinTeamMgr 09.07.2009 12:02 AM

For your SC10 most are using the 17.5 Redline motor.

patxeik 09.07.2009 04:36 PM

Thanks Mike!!!
But they use a 17.5 because they race in a stock race and they arent allowed to use a faster motor, or im not right? If a t4 use a 7.5 i think a 10.5 will be good for a sc10, or maybe a 13.5? i just want the fastest motor that can be easy to handle in a sc10.
Thanks
