My ECRT.5 Build

Just picked up this Jammin .5 tonight. Got a roller with bk bars indoor tires, and another set with I believe they were dirt hawgs or something along those lines. Cant remember, also cam with a body but I need a new one. It has the Blue Groove Conversion on it already. It needs to be cleaned up but I only gave $35 for all of it so I figured what the hell I aint out much.

Im planning to use a Sidewinder and probably the traxxas brushless motor on 3s. I have heard the traxxas motor on 3 cell is a pretty good setup.

Looks good. Damn you got a great deal!!!

Foxracin 07.19.2009 11:08 PM

Holey Mackrel. I just threw a Mamba max and that old 2770kv motor I had no idea on what brand it was on it and on 3 cell it is slam nasty. You can be 3/4 throttle going about wide open and give it full throttle and it will stand straight up. Even in the wet grass. I just got it all put together about an hour ago and its dark now so I didnt get to play with it much. Its to dark. Ill have some pics and maybe a vid tomorrow.

Foxracin 07.19.2009 11:08 PM

Oh yea. The 1/8th scale wheels and tires work awesome on it.

Foxracin 07.22.2009 10:21 PM

Well here are a few pics with the elctronics on. Video will have to wair since my laptop took a shit and all the programs and junk are on it. Not sure when Ill have it back.

Well anywho I put a Mamba Max ESC, 3 cell lipo, and some 2770kv brushless motor that I have no clue what it is. All I know is that on 3 cell it is more then enough. Will flip over at nothing. Also through on a Hitec 645mg servo for now. It works pretty good on it.

Cut down your motor leads.

Foxracin 07.22.2009 10:44 PM

I did. I cut them to that length. I dont want them too short. Its fine like they are. It doesnt have a whole lot od slack in them.

Metallover 07.23.2009 02:31 AM

Hey man, don't worry about the criticism. BL_RVO has a wiring fetish... Or maybe it's OCD... Everyone's wiring just has to be perfect.

I like how the mount uses the nitro spot and how you flipped the servo. Very unique. :great:

magman 07.23.2009 09:16 AM

Looks nice...all you need now is Mike's extended chassis kit!

Thats how the Blue Groove chassis conversion comes. It uses a full size servo and everything. So far I like it pretty good how it is all laid out.

BL_RV0 07.23.2009 12:59 PM

I do like clean wiring. I have a project in its design phase that will have absolutely no visible wires.
