I think the Hyper 9e is very cool even though I've never driven one. It's on my list to get as soon as we figure out a tight fitting body or some sort of splash guard to keep dirt out.

Did you consider the Losi 8ight-E 2.0 ?? I've kept my Hyper9e 2 weeks and sold it to get my Losi.... on a track the losi performs better IMO....this buggy loves to fly !

I have had a converted RC8 and I prefer my Hyper 9E . I just wish they did a mudguard setup. The Hyper 9E felt more planted than my RC8 and was alot faster, and I really liked my RC8.

Anyway, if you tend to run on a track that isn't muddy, I think you would be ok. I think someone needs to make a body where the lexan bends around the corners of the chassis. This could give a bit of a seal, at least, better than what we have now where its wide open spaces. If you run on dusty conditions, you should be fine.

You might be able to fit an 8ight-E body on the hyper9. It's narrower than most other 1/8 buggy bodies.

I like my 1.0 that has a lot of 2.0 upgrades including a hand machined flex chassis, but the 9e is so original I'd be willing to take a chance on it.
