8ight 1.0 buggy
Well, looks like i may be getting a 8ight 1.0 buggy race roller tomrw, and i was wonder how would it be if i ran it with the following:
CC Mamba Monster 2650kv 3s1p 5000mAh 25c or 30c pack 2650x11.1=29415 Would this push around an 8ight 1.0 on a track and compete with nitros? its almost 30k rpms |
pwould be fine if you gear it correctly. I have ran a buggy with that exact setup- ran great- plenty of Go to keep up with the noise makers
|
any ideal on the gear i should use? Im picking this kit up tomrw
|
Gear for about 38mph. should be plenty and you can out accelerate the gas guzzlers
|
would a 3s1p 5000mAh 20c pack be enough? or does it need to be 25c/30c
|
Since it's a 3s setup 25c would be the minimum.

I doubt geared for 38 would pull anywhere near 125 amps continous. I say the zippy 20/30burst is fine, my .02

If you are peaking at 100-125 amps, the voltage of a pack rated for 100amps will drop = less speed.
If you get a 30c or higher rated 3s5000mah pack, you'll get 150a continuous and the batt will hold it's voltage better. Take a look at the hyperion35c thread on this forum. At 20c these packs hold 3.7v per cell. Use the speedcalc and see how voltage drop affects your speed. |
Nitrofarter ran a jammin buggy with a mmm/2650 combo on 3s 4900 rhino lipos and it worked fine. Something like 14-15min runtimes?
|
Is there a reason you want to run 3s?

Sure did. Those Rhino's are 20C's as well. 14 minutes of track time before hitting the LVC. Now I did run the 2650 on 4s as well. It was very quick but I also changed the gearing for about the same speed as 3s. I ran that with 4s 4500 30C FP's. I have a 8ight-B now with the Tekno V3 kit. I'm running a 1515/1Y on 4s geared 14/47 and its insanely quick and cool! |
nitro starter, IF i go with the 20c packs what gearing should i use Spur?/Pinion? I even thought about running them in 3s2p config to get 10,000mAh out of them. Thoughts on this?
