i wanna use them in my e-revo brushless, is it possible to get a mod1 spur gear?

2. wich sway bars are recommended?

thx

yes you would need the sway bar from a revo. then gear for the correct speed.

Tekno sways.

teckno sways are better than the traxxas?

and 2nd question was can i somewhere buy mod1 spur gear for my e-revo?

The Mod1 gears for a Revo 3.3 are to small, you would need about a 30+T pinion to reach the spur. An associated MGT 52T spur can be modded to work but you may still have gearing limitations. IMO just get 1 or 2 32p pinions and the 54,56,58,62,65,+68t spurs, the spurs are only about $3 and with 2 different pinions that would give you a wide varriety of gearing options. I just sold 3 different 32p pinions and gave away all my spurs since I sold my E-revo a couple weeks ago.

ok, then i will buy 32p gears.

Yea the idea of having all the spurs and a few pinion gears on hand is nice, I keep 20-24t pinnion and 54-58t spurs, the 68t spure can only be matched with an 18t pinnion or lower using the standard motor mount plate.

BTW I also don't like Castles stock monster 18t pinnion can never stay on the drive shaft, it could just be me though.

get the tekno sways. traxxas ones dont work.

Not true! I know at the very least a 68/20 works as thats what I ran for a long time! Also 68/23 works

Vibration Loosening.

A Little Blue Loctite on the grub screw and even a little on the motor shaft helps keep things tight and running right.

Be Sure to get the Blue, You don't want the Red Loctite.

Red Loctite requires alot of heat to be removed. The Red holds so strong, you will strip the grub screw before it will loosen.

The Blue is made to be removeable. A good choice.:great:

I used to run 22/40 gearing with Mod 1 using an AXI 2826/8 outrunner motor. Pretty good setup for short tracks.

Now I'm running a Medusa 36-60-2000kv using 18/52 Mod 1 gears. It's easy to Mod a MGT spur.

Choose three of the peg holes and drill them out to 5mm, I think it is. Then you have to enlarge the center hole to fit the carrier bearing.

The Beauty of this is, they don't wear out and can handle huge torque loads. You can also get the MGT spurs made out of Delrin.

Delrin is double tough stuff.

The MGT spur in my Revo has seen probably 50 packs and shows no wear.

I love it.

ahh, a mgt spur fits.

i will give it a try, thx.

Yea I did use blue locktite, both on the screw and to fill the empty space between the shaft and the gear, and it still would slide forward, I think they just used a screw that was too small, I've since gotten some RR 20,22,and 24 tooth gears and they have a slightly larger screw and I have yet to have one of them slide forwards.
