Anyone had a chance to compare the 2200kv to the 2650kv motors?
 

Like the Title says, Has anyone had a chance to compare these two motors?

I'm thinking of purchasing one for my E Revo. I mainly run 4S Lipos, but I wouldn't mind some 6S runs if the 2200kv motor is the better choice.

I dunno the 2650 is NUTS on 4s in a buggy... a 2200 in a smaller can motor would be better!

2200 is better all around for a e-revo.

2200 provides the extra torque neccissary to haul the heavy MT around..2650 does not

The 2200 stays cooler, I have ran both, 10min of general bashing on pavement, gravel, and 4" tall grass and motor temps were usually around 170ish on 3s geared at well just about anything, the only perk is it deoesn't require the slipper clutch to be set extremely tight, the 2200 same scenarios maybe 150 degrees, but watch out for your slipper clutch, I've burnt up 3 sets of pads, 2 plates, a bearing, and a spur gear.

Off topic...I ave no eye for setting slipper clutchs considering I usualy smoke mine withn the 1st min of running then tighten it down.

The 2650 will work just fine, but the 2200 will run cooler and give you much more options for gearing. I'd go with the 2200, myself.

I got the 2200 up to 65 on my revo n 6s so I would so no need for the higher kv of the 2650 and the sacrifice of torque. On 4s there is no reason you can't gear that motor around 45 and run cool all day.

Got a 2650 from Linc to put in my Revo for the RCM bash...

Ran it on 4S (25C 4000 Zips) on a small local track today and I was pretty pleased. It def had less TQ than the 2Y I had on 8S, but it ran well. Had it geared 16.9:1, and the motor was dead cool (110F), & the MMM was a bit hot (least fan would run for ~10secs after I stopped.) Geared for about 40.
Def enuf pwr for the track. Ran well on grass too.

The nice thing was it wasn't too TQ'y for the cent diff kit w/ 500K oil. The 1515 before used to diff out so much I just took it out. It would still wheelie on dirt even.

Not sure I'd say its better for bashing, but not bad at all so far on the track. We'll see how it goes.

6s, 2200kv would be an ideal setting for an erevo
