Additional cap(s)
 

I've read some info about installing extra caps & went ahead to include an additional 1000uf in my V2 MMM

Two questions: how much benefit is lost by having the cap(s) some distance from the ESC & does wire size have any additional impact?

Secondly, if the cap were attached to an alloy component, would this effectively act as a heat sink - aiding the cap?

And yes, there is some wishful thinking in my questions :mdr:

Caps should be low ESR, i have 3x 1100uF and there is no heating on them, there is no need for heatsink.
