RC-Monster Mike 03.01.2005 06:17 PM

Nobody seems to have them in stock right now (only one or two places carry them).

so that is why i cannot find them...hmmm.. do you know how much they cost or is that a good price?

Dafni 03.01.2005 06:18 PM

Canīt help you there, but I would be interested as well.

180 bucks give me a headache, though.

RC-Monster Mike 03.01.2005 06:23 PM

I saw them somewhere for around $100. Not in stock, mind you.

why are they so expensive? is there a cheaper route that still looks clean?

RC-Monster Mike 03.01.2005 06:26 PM

They are expensive because there is a lot of machine work to do. They take time to make (unlike the plastic, which is poured into a mold)-they have to be milled on a machine.

is the emaxx and tmaxx the same case?

RC-Monster Mike 03.06.2005 04:09 PM

No. The cases are different.

Megazone23 03.06.2005 04:45 PM

I would probably also guess that the high price is a function of there not being enough demand to take advantage of economies of scale. It doesn't sound like there's much demand, so these parts get made in small quantities, and the manufacturers have to recover the fixed costs of production over fewer parts sold.
