What do you have? What's in it? ^^^ I guess you'll have to run in the "Electric Open" class. IMO putting two packs in series OR parallel makes them 1 pack. So putting two 4s packs in series (although separate packs) would count as an 8s pack.

That's not quite what I meant. Here's:
2 small 2200 mah cells soldered permanently together in parallel to make one 4400 cell. Make a 4S pack out of these 2P 4400 cells, technically there are 8 cell , but still falls within the max votage and max series rule. Really no difference in performance than a pair of 4S packs in parallel. |
Oh, you meant 8 cells as in the "number of cells in the car". Not necessarily "the number of cells in the battery" (?). Should be fine then.
