Good shocks?
I keep striiping my rear shocks.
Any good aftermarket ones for the Revo? |
define stripping of shocks. could mean alot of things
|
The threaded parts that connect to the plastic ends keep stripping. Are there aluminum shock ends that we can buy?
|
Something is wrong if you're stripping the shock ends off the rods.
|
Are you running a rear sway bar
|
the best shocks you can buy are the aluminum GTR bodies
are you ripping the caps off? sounds like you have striped threads |
Back when I had a converted Revo, I noticed that if the rear end was too soft, the shocks would bottom out easily on jumps. This puts a lot of strain on the shock ends.
|
yeah something has gotta be wrong.
if you put ANTI strain on the suspension...like land a large jump dirty side up hard on one wheel it will tend to pull either the shock end or the push rod ends off. mostly my rod ends have been stretched so i just replaced mine today. yes you can buy ally ones but make sure it isn't something more that is causing the problem. |
These are decent. Rod ends can rip off on jumps/ hvy springs or crashes as there are no downtravel limiters on the Revo, and the shock ends take it. Had a problem a few years ago and these took care of it. Bit of a pain to get in tho.

Okay thanks. I'll buy these ASAP. I am not using a swaybar, but should I?
|
no, the rear sway bar is what caused mine to fail
