I am setting up my mbx-5 as an on road and have a couple of questions

Since my mbx-5 has been sitting for a year unused, I have decided to change it up a bit and try it on road for something a bit different. Couple of questions:

1. what diff fluid should I use...linc recommended 50 in the center
( I was thinking of....15F 50C 10R )

2. shock oil
( thinking here that 50-60 wt should work w/stock gray springs or do I need stiffer front springs, rear or both)

My set up will be the mmm 2200 combo on 5s. Any other recommendations would be much appreciated.

Are you racing? Just go with stiff springs like 6+ lb/in front and rear would be ideal with at least 60wt shock oil. Center diff fluid should be as high as possible if you are aiming for speed runs or at least 30K wt in general. Whether you change the center diff fluid or not should depend on how stable your car is or how stable you want it to be.

I am just p-lot racing w/friends...The area we will use has 3 turns..1 is sharp and 2 are more sweeping. I will try 60wt. oil in the shocks.

What about the F&R diffs as far as oil goes. I plan on starting w/50wt. in the center
