Servos in Savage Flux HP

Hi,

when I drive on wet surface (morning grass f.e.) Flux HP SF-5 servo become wet. I am a little bit afraid that some day it will fry (as I have heard about this)... Does servos have some standards? Will Traxxas 2056 Waterproof High Torque Servo fit in Flux HP? Or maybe someone know not expensive but good waterproof servo that will fit in Savage Flux HP?

There are ways to waterproof a servo. One include dipping the servos in plasti-dip.

Do a google search for "Waterproof Servo" You'll get tons of results including how-to videos.

Here's one article - http://www.societyofrobots.com/actua...of_servo.shtml

You should be able to use the waterproof emaxx servos. They are standard size servos which should be a direct drop in. The horn might be different, but a simple adapter will solve that problem and probably came with your flux.

So you can either waterproof your existing servos or buy a waterproof one. It's cheaper to waterproof your existing servos, so I would recommend doing that first. If it doesn't work, you can just get the traxxas servos.

The Traxxas and HPI servos all use a Futaba horn so no dramas there, but the Traxxas ones are plastic geared and are pretty weak. Stick with the stock one, mine's been fine no matter what I do to it.

I see. I will stick to stock one, will try to find one spare in ebay. Just in case. Thank you.
