Just an FYI on MM Support Replacements
They are a bit backlogged on replacement MM's in case you were thinking of calling...
Mine must have been in around 6 weeks IIRC and its another 2 weeks before manufacturing... No complaints though as Jenny is very helpful and taking excllent care of me... I think it is just a case of getting the new product out and the new machine... Just wish there was a pay $25 for a MMPro option  |

so mamba monsters are not being shipped out or is that mamba maxes ?
|
Mamba maxes (= MM).
The Mamba Monster = MMM (was originally going to be called the MambaMonsterMax, but Castle dropped the Max part... we didnt however ). Good to hear Jenny is taking really good care of you though, thats the kind of customer care people dream of... |

Castle's customer support is near legendary and I will be a loyal customer for a long time to come because they do honor their warranty so well. That being said the one nagging issue I have with them is it seems every time I do have to send something in it is not in stock and often times the wait is to me unreasonably long. I can understand it with a new item but when you have to wait 2 months for something like a Mamba ESC or 5700kv motor it is very frustrating.

I believe Patrick once said the long waiting times was due to them doing runs of different escs on their machines- they set them up to do the MMM for example, so nothing else gets built in the mean time until they have enough MMMs done to fulfil orders from places like Traxxas and HPI (for their rtr trucks), and resellers like towerhobbies and Mike etc etc. In the mean time, stock piles of other escs will run down, then run out, so you end up with increased waiting times.
At present , BL is taking over the world, so everyone wants more of what castles got, meaning they cant keep stock piles of spares very long (sell out quickly), then you also get alot more broken escs sent in for repair due to the increase in new users and noobs trashing them, so repair lead times increase too- a double edged sword if ever there was one... |
+1 to Neil.
Hopefully now, their new pick and place machine will help feed our demand! |
They mentioned on the phone issues with new machine IIRC.
Mine was sent back on 6/28 so pretty much 2 months... |

I agree - I'm lucky I have 2 spare MM on top of this one so it isn't an issue but wanted people to be aware...

MMM Update...?
Can someone help me out here...
I was told... -MMM v1 has wires on motor and battery side -MMM v2 has gold connectors on both motor and battery side -MMM v3 has gold connectors on motor side, wires on the battery side ... before I sent my MMM v1 in for the update. However, when I received a MMM in return, the bottom of the box did read V3... BUT, the ESC has gold connectors on both motor and battery side? Has something changed again... or did I not get a V3 in return? Any input would be very helpful guys... Thank you for your time. -ST:mdr: |
the early versions of v3's have bullets on the batt side, no worries, i acually like the bullets better

I just talked to tom today, and he pulled up the MM production schedule. sept 3rd is when they go on.
