difference between the 25c and 35c G3's

I am looking at the 25c 5000 G3's Mike has for my mbx-5T conversion. My question...since I don't race, is it really worth the 35c for just bashing.

I understand that the 35c will give me more punch...

suicideneil 08.22.2009 06:40 PM

Thats a good question actually...

I see there is a $50 price difference (5s 5500mah versions), but is it worth it?..

jayjay283 08.22.2009 06:46 PM

can't those 35c g3s be charged at a 5c rate ? not that my charger could pull that off

suicideneil 08.22.2009 06:51 PM

I believe so, but my charger cant manage 1c with a 5s pack...

magman 08.22.2009 08:52 PM

Actually both can be charged at the same rate! The only reason I really ask is if I get 2 or more at once the price difference may allow me to get another pack

magman 08.22.2009 08:56 PM

Either way...the packs are very well priced and great on performance from what I have read

I've been running on 20c TrueRc batteries with a MMM 2200kv for bashing, and they preform well. But when they fail (which they problably will in the near future :surprised: ) I'm getting some G3 35c packs  .

how fast are you geared? id say for 40 mph or so you wouldnt notice a difference in punch but higher gearing you just might, 25c is still quite a bit of amps, shoot all i run is 20c and havnt noticed a difference in some of my 25c packs

emaxx 101 08.23.2009 12:51 AM

18/68 on 6s for 43 mph.

magman 08.23.2009 08:45 AM

my truggy will be geared for 40 so I would think that the 25c would be enough

I concur. Get the 25's. Spend the money saved on pony rides.

FWIW, I just got through using the 35c 5500mAh 3S packs in a race this weekend.

Sorry to say, but I'm a little disappointed. Used the pack in my X1-CRT, 11t pinion, 62t spur...and the punch I was expecting was not there.

In the truggy Main, I switched back to my NeuEnergy 25c 5000mAh 3S, and the difference was noticeable, but not major. I think I may try out the new Enerland 43c packs...

don't know if this helps any.

Question....why only 3s in a truggy?

Answer:

Neu 1515/1.5D

She don't like 4S all that much. Well, maybe if I gear it down to a 9t pinion.

But then I'd have a torque monster that would be killing diffs as easy as I pass wind. :oh:
