Will a zippy fit in a Slash?

Does anyone know if the zippy packs will fit in a Slash battery tray? I want to get this pack but I don't know if it will fit or not.

They do fit but you need to dremel a bit for clearance for the wires to exit the pack. They fit well in the Slash, but the Stampede / Rustler / Bandit need a fair bit of dremel work all round.

they are one millimeter wider then the 4000packs, the 3s 4k pack is a snug fit in my slash.. it just might be possible... might need some light dremel sanding though.

You will need a notch for the wires to come out through.

The 5000 mAH 25-35C packs fit in my Rustler very tightly, I'd say that with a little Dremel work that should fit yours just fine.

Maybe I will just go for the 4000 to be on the safe side.

Man.. I really need a dremel...

I have a few packs that need notches, and I has no dremel.

shenanigans.

Dang that doesn't look safe. Wheres the shrink on the motor wires?
Don't run it until you dremel the notch in the side. It'll pinch the wires and most likely destroy the battery(check the biggest blunders thread for the full story:diablo:).

You can pick up a dremel knock off super cheap at Harbor Freight and Tool.

I have that 23.99 red one, I keep out in the shed. It's my
workhorse/sacrificial dremel and have had it 4-5 yrs and it has ben used a LOT, still works great and lots a power.

I didn't want to chance compromising the structural integrity of the chassis by dremeling the sides, so I just mounted the battery on edge and added a little bit of rubber-foam weatherstripping padding on the sides:

Also for a cheap dremel check Autozone if there is one around you. I got the one I used for $16. Its super cheap and works great. I have had it for about a year now and use it a couple times a week and it has held up great. Has about 7 or 8 speed adjustments on it also. Cant beat it for the price.

Edit: Here is the one I was talking aout. It lists for $19.99. Come with a case and assorment of bits.
