Brushless Setup Savage
Hi
I am new here and at first donīt judge me because of my english. I am from Austria and still a student. Well. I can get a Savage for little money and i want to convert it to brushless-POWER :mdr: Like i said i am a student and i am not that rich. Thats my setup: This motor: KD36-74-09XL http://hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store...idProduct=6678 Lipo: I got 4 or 5 3s1p 2450mAh laying around here, maybe 6s1p for speed and 3s2p for long driving. I donīt know which esc i should use, please help me, BUT it has to be cheap or not soo expensive. Even a used one would be okay. Thanks and Danke (german for thx) DanteX |
I don't know what C rating those batteries are but they will probably not give up enough current with out getting too hot in a 6S1P configuration.
6S2P would be the way to go. A Mamba Monster Max ESC would be ideal. You can purchase them here on RC Monster and also used at various places...like E-Bay. |
The batterys are 20Cīs
What do you think about the motor? The Mamba Monster Max costs 200$ thats too expensive for me. What about this ESC http://hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store...idProduct=7188 or this one http://cgi.ebay.at/EZRUN-80A-SD-270A...d=p3286.c0.m14 |
My friend, do not by the KD36 motors.. They are junk motors... I've friend 2 of them on a simple simple setup with the 1100Kv motor.... If you're on a budget get a feigao or something like that..

Alright, which motor and esc do you suggest? Budget-priced plz
|
If I were buying a budget ESC from Hobby City I would get this one:
http://hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store...00A_w/_Reverse However if I were you I would save your money for a while longer and get the MMM 2200 combo. Less headaches in the long run. I understand how you feel...I was once in the "budget" mindset. You will get better quality stuff that will last longer if you aren't buying "budget" components. Just my advice... Been there done that... :) You will deffinately need to run your batteries in a 2P configuration. |
The combo is 350$ , thats way over my budget. But you can give me some money ^_^
I could use 4 batteries in my car 2x 3s2p and this 3s2p is 2x 3s1p lol |
It is $280 here at RC-Monster: http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...MBO2200&cat=21

i have heard that the ezrun combos are a pretty buget freindly combo. squirrl on tube even said they weren't to bad if your on a budget. although the mmm is the way to go, thats what i have in my savage x is the 2200 combo.

Squirel is a power-mad ejjit, his videos are quite amusing...
They arent bad escs for a tight budget, but I would rather save up for longer to get a more solid setup; the hobbycity motors are far from good, but they might last longer on only 4s- 3s would be rather slow & higher gearing to make up for it will push them too hard. |
